Here’s a ski patroller starting out his day at the crack of dawn, making his way around the mountain, firing his avalanche gun to determine the safety conditions before the slopes open. It’s a rough morning. Snow is coming down and he’s bundled up

As the sun gets higher in the sky and he begins to move around more, his body temperature rises, and he starts to sweat. He knows that this is potentially hazardous, as it may lead to hypothermia if the moisture freezes, so he stops what he’s doing

Later, when he needs to find something in his backpack, he struggles to negotiate around his discarded layers and has to take everything out of his bag and lay it on the snow in order to access what he needs

Throughout his workday, he encounters a lot of different challenging situations, and struggles to manage the tools and supplies he needs

Exhausted, burnt out, and frustrated by how hard his job is, he tells his supervisor that he’s considering leaving after this season. His supervisor is sympathetic — he remembers when he used to patrol and how exhausted and frustrated he would get

The supervisor is concerned about his employees, as well as the high rate of turnover as a result of such a tough job. He learns about a climate and humidity controlled suit and the affect it has on sustained comfort and job performance. He decide

Since they don’t need a way to carry extra layers, the patrollers in these new suits are able to leave their heavy, bulky backpacks at the lodge. Everything they need is quickly and easily available to them without any hassle.

They don’t have to struggle to manage things like flashlights in the dark or while doing more sensitive work, which means their hands are totally free to splint a broken leg or hold onto ski poles

And they can quickly and safely make their way back down the mountain in rescue situations without worrying that other skiers won’t see them coming.
